Dock Day & Race Day Postponed
Due to an impending snow storm Dock Day and our opening Race Day will be April 11 and April 12 respectively.
RACING SEASON BEGINS!

The long wait is over.  Find your sailing gloves and dust off your PFD, it's time to hit the water!

Club racing begins Sunday, April 12 with the first start at 1pm.
Thanks to Paul Culnan and Craig Crowley for taking the first Race Committee slot so the rest of us can chase each other around the marks.

This will be an exciting year of racing at Union.  USC has expanded the racing schedule with 47 Club racing days planned between now and the end of October on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings (starting in May).  We also have 5 Regattas planned spanning 9 days of racing, including an expansion of the Firecracker/Sparkler Regatta to 2 days, the introduction of the 2-day ReUnion Regatta, the continuation of the Oktoberfest One Day One-Design Regatta, as well as the Hobie 3 Peaks Regatta and the Snipe Rocky Mountain Championship.  The whole USC Event Schedule is posted on our
website:

Youth Sailing
by Avana Andrade
Remember when the youth at Union Sailing Club used to routinely beat the adults on the race course and when youth training exercises with Jim Young put those old salts to shame? Well, those days need to be resurrected, not necessarily to tame adult ego, but for the sake of the youth, community and club.

Annual Spring Meeting a Fun Success
A great season kickoff party! Thanks to Shannan and
Catherine AND YOU for making it such a huge success. The
sailing season is upon us! Your board and various committees
have been working tirelessly on USC's behalf during the
off season and you'll see some great changes this year
to our facilities and programming! Improved docks, shelter,
and web site functionality, possible expansion space, bar b
cues, social events, youth programming, clinics, extended
acing season, additional regattas are all significant
changes and benefits to our members. Thanks to all of the
many volunteers who lent a hand in the various projects. I
won't go over all the improvements specifically here -
get out there and see them for yourself!
