Work
Day - MAY 15
The
weather did not cooperate for the April 17th work day -
a few hardy souls came out anyway to help on the chilly
day, a big thank you to them.
What's
left to do at the next work day?
Not much
painting could be done; both sheds are in need of a coat of paint -
they have been scraped and are currently showing bare
wood. The barge floor REALLY needs a coat of water seal
(or we may be replacing the floorboards soon). Our docks
could really benefit from a coat of water seal as well.
The
new gravel in the north lot still needs a bit more spreading to the
shoreline to hold the mud at bay.
The
current set of racks needs to be moved to the north end
and another set or two needs to be
built. This job needs a foreman, anyone
interested?
Thanks
for helping out - its how we keep our dues so low! Shannan

Fleet
Days
Last Sunday marked the
first of what we hope will be many 'Fleet Days' at the club
this year.
The
Colorado Mutineer Fleet 15 had six boats on the water Sunday,
sailed three races and enjoyed a nice picnic
afterwards.
All
members are encouraged to gather up their fleets and participate in
club racing - 3 boats to get your own start. An excellent way
to build camaraderie AND grow your fleet.
Contact
Gib for more information.

Bird
Watching with Audubon Society
Did you know that Union
Reservoir is a no wake lake in large part because it is a bird sanctuary?
Steve Jones from the Boulder Audubon Society will lead a bird
watching excursion at 6:45am (boat leaves shore at 7am) on
Saturday, May 22nd. While it is out of season to see many ducks or
shorebirds then (too late in spring), the breeding songbirds would
be on territory and singing, plus the usual pelicans, cormorants,
herons, etc.. Dress appropriately for the day and bring water or
anything else you might like to eat or drink. Expect to be on the
water around 2 hours.
RSVP is required
