Union Sailing Club Open House
Come join us, Sat, June 14, for an Open House, Demo Day & Swap Meet on the east shore of Union Reservoir. Members and non-members are all welcome. Union Sailing Club members will be there with different types of sailboats to answer questions and offer demo rides. We hope to have Snipes, Mutineers, Buccaneers, Butterflys, Lasers, Hobies, and others all represented. So, come out and see the club, meet some members, try out a boat, and enjoy some refreshments (provided by local Snipe Fleet 210)! Sailing activities will go on all day from 10-5. Also, the Longmont Sculling Club will also be there in the morning to teach the basics of stroke on rowing machines and let you experience sculling on the water. They will also have info about programs and classes being offered this summer. They will be there from 8:30-11:00.
Important: The event itself is free, but all vehicles will need to stop at the main gate to pick up a $6 parking pass for Union Reservoir Park (unless they have a season pass). After picking up your pass, go back out to the main road, turn left on to the dirt road, follow it for about 3/4 mile around the lake and you will see the sign for the Union Sailing Club.
