Fleet Pages for Popular USC Boats

Buccaneer 18 Class Association: Designed in 1966 by Rod Macalpine-Downie and Dick Gibbs, the Buccaneer 18 incorporates classic elements that have made this racing dinghy a consistent performer for more than 35 years. With its performance hull design, the Buccaneer easily gets up onto an exhilarating plane in 8-10 knots of breeze. An integrated spinnaker launch tube, roller furling jib, and well-constructed sail plan make it the ideal two-handed racing dinghy.

Butterfly Association - National: Information on the Butterfly sailboat and the class Association, including historical records, recent class news, upcoming National Events, Results, Boats and Parts Wanted and For Sale in the Exchange, and details on the boat itself including builder information and parts prices.

Club 420 Association: Today there are 3000-3200 Club and Collegiate 420s in over 350 sailing organizations. From Maine to Long Island, to the Chesapeake, to the Gulf, to the Great Lakes, the Pacific Coast, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, and now Canada, the class is growing at a torrid pace. The Club 420 is the junior boat of choice at more and more schools, clubs and sailing organizations across America and now Canada.

Laser Class Association - North America: The Laser is one of the most popular single-handed dinghies in the world. By 2007, the number of boats produced exceeded 190,000. A commonly cited reason for its popularity is that it is robust and simple to rig and sail.

Mutineer 15 Class Association: The Mutineer is a versatile 15 foot dinghy that is raced with a crew of 2, but is comfortable to cruise with 4 people. With a 100 sq ft mainsail, 50 sq ft furling jib, 160 sq ft spinnaker, spinnaker launcher snout, molded seats, pivoting rudder and centerboard, this boat can be exciting to race on Saturdays, then comfortable and relaxing for the family to take on a picnic cruise on Sunday. Over 6,000 Mutineers have been built since 1971, and many used ones are available at good prices. There are a lot of active Mutineers along the Front Range, and several race regularly at Union including Gib
Charles, 4-time Mutineer National Champion.

Snipe Class - U.S.: The Snipe is a 15 1/2 foot, 2 person, one design racing dingy which has delivered an enjoyable sailing experience and outstanding long term value for its owners for 74 years.
