Zebra Mussels
These little critters, while not currently at Union Reservoir need to be kept away! They clog water intakes and damage equipment by attaching to boat motors and hard surfaces. They can damage ecosystems by harming fisheries, smothering native mussels and crayfish and littering beaches with their sharp shells.
While our boats don't travel much - if you do take your boat off site, please make sure you don't carry any water (in your boat) back, or have any hitchhikers attached. For more information about how to protect our water, go to any of the following websites:
