NOTICE OF RACE
MANAGEMENT AND RULES
The Organizing Authority is Union Sailing Club.
The regatta shall be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing ("RRS").
All races are under the management of the Race Committee of the Oktoberfest One Design and shall be conducted in accordance with
• the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (“RRS”), with US Sailing Prescriptions;
• the Sailing Instructions.
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
The regatta is open to current members of Union Sailing Club who are in good standing with USC. Boats shall enter the Regatta by pre-registering online at https://www.unionsailingclub.org/event-3992438 or being present, on the water at first gun.
FEES
There will be no charge for this Regatta.
SCHEDULE
Saturday, September 26
09:00 am – Socially Distant Competitors’ Meeting
10:00 am – First Gun, Five (5) or more races planned, no races to be started after 4:30 pm
We are not planning on breaking for lunch, depending on wind conditions. Please bring your lunch on board.
COMPETITORS’ MEETING
There will be a short, socially distant Competitors’ meeting prior to the first race on Saturday, signaled by two sound signals.
SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions will be emailed to registered participants on Friday Evening, September 25.
REGATTA SITE
The regatta site will be at Union Sailing Club on the Eastern shore of Union Reservoir, Longmont, Colorado.
COURSE
The race course will be described at the competitors’ meeting. Courses will be designated on a magnetic board on the Race Committee boat before each race by a series of numbers and letters that correspond to the order in which marks are to be passed and ending with “F” for finish. All Courses will be “Port Around”.
SCORING
The low point scoring system of Appendix A of the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 – 2020 will be used. All races will be scored.

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. Snipe Fleet #210, Union Sailing Club, Union Reservoir Park, and the City of Longmont will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
